The composer Giacomo Puccini gushed out his creative genius composing in this picturesque place his greatest operas Tosca, Madama Butterfly, La Fanciulla del West, La Rondine. His lake house, now a museum, is still open. Since 1930 takes place every summer, an outdoor opera season that takes advantage of the tranquility of the place and leaves a lasting impression in the heart.

BY CAR
If taking the Genova - Livorno motorway or Lucca - Viareggio link-road, head for the tollbooth at Viareggio. Once through the tollbooth, take the Aurelia road in the direction of Viareggio / Camaiore. There is a junction after 2 km: take the SS1 in the direction of Pisa. About 8.5 km further on, take the right turn signed "Torre del Lago - Mare" (Torre del Lago - Sea). Follow the signs for Marina di Torre del Lago. At the roundabout, turn right and go down Viale J. F. Kennedy. Hotel Turandot is about 1 km down this road.

BY TRAIN
